Terry Lauerman, a 75-year-old man who enjoys nothing more than resting with his kitties at the local shelter, has captured the hearts of the internet. He takes care of his friends at Safe Haven Pet Sanctuary, a non-profit cat sanctuary in Green Bay, Wisconsin. He’s been volunteering as a shelter staff member for six months.
He came every day, according to the shelter’s staff, and remained for around 3 hours at a time to groom the cats and sleep with them. All of the cats take turns cuddling and sleeping with him whenever he sleeps.
Shelter staff decided to post his pictures of cute kittens on Facebook one day, and they immediately went viral. People from all over the world started donating to shelters in order to help the lovely kittens continue their essential work.
