Ever since he was a little kitten, Storm has always liked to say what he sees. She loves to tell her family everything about the things she finds around the house and what she is doing at any given moment, and they are always waiting to see what she will tell them next.
“The storm is very curious,” Caitlyn Hartley, Storm’s mother, told The Dodo. “She makes all kinds of noises. She is very playful and is also very vocal. She talks to us a lot. ”
When Storm sees an animal friend in need, it is one of the things that drives her to speak her thoughts the most. There’s a little nook outside her family’s basement window where wildlife can get lodged. Storm enjoys spending time in the basement, where she can play in her cat condo and slide about on the floor, so if an animal requires assistance, she is usually the first to discover and will immediately notify her family.
“Storm has informed me that there is a baby rabbit, frogs, and a mole… and if we have pests in the home, such as stink bugs, spiders, beetles, we pick it,” Hartley explained.
Storm was attempting to grab her mother’s attention and get her to accompany her down to the basement one day. Her mother assumed she simply wanted to play, but when she arrived in the basement, she discovered that someone else had become stuck, and the perpetrator caused her quite a shock.
Hartley stated, “I responded very much in shock.” “I didn’t expect a snake to get stuck there, and he was a good-sized monitor snake.”
Storm, on the other hand, seemed unfazed by the snake and continued rubbing her nose against the window in an attempt to make friends with it. “Don’t worry, my folks will help you!” she seemed to be saying. They always manage to accomplish it!”
Storm’s parents hastily devised a rescue strategy while Storm oversaw, as the unfortunate snake looked to be unable to move at all.
“My husband opened that window from the inside to let the snake out… “He wore gloves and, when he opened the window and screen, he quickly and gently took the snake and put him into the box I was holding,” Hartley recalled. “I had to immediately secure the box’s edges so the snake wouldn’t jump back out. I took the snake outdoors and released it among the woods near our home.”
Fortunately, the snake appeared to be unharmed. He slithered off into the trees as if nothing had occurred once he realized he was free. Storm returned to monitoring the basement for animal companions who might want her assistance, while he went back to living his life.
