Creatures are abandoned every day all around the world, and the unfortunate animals have nowhere to go but shelters or foster homes. The sad reality is that the color, breed, age, and health of shelter animals may all play a role in whether or not they find a new forever home.
That’s why the chances weren’t in her favor when a small black cat and two of her companions were found abandoned by their owners in Manchester, England. After their owners went away and left them behind, the cats were forced to live on their own for several weeks. Deandra, a tiny black cat with webbed feet, was one of the three kittens whose future was extremely unclear…
Little Deandra has a medical condition which caused her toes to not separate properly, giving her wedded toes! This makes her paws look almost like a birds foot.
Her story went out over the Manchester Evening News and citizen Michael Casemore knew that this special little cat was the pet for him.
In an interview, Michael stated:
“At first, she was a little shy, but she’s start going out now. She’s doing incredibly well, and everyone who meets her loves her. I was already a fan of black cats, but then I noticed her attraction, and she’s a little different. When I went to visit her, she was quite friendly, though she appeared to be quite comfortable in her cat pod. I knew she’d been there a long time, so I had no choice but to take her.”
On the day of her adoption, the RSPCA allowed them to take her favorite toy home from the Shelter. Michael tha, ” She likes to slide on kitchen tiles is a fast runner. He likes to crawl under the kitchen table as he slides.
She is the main character in the family. She is calm and loving with other cats. It has quickly made friends in the neighborhood and has the sweetest noisy meow. Her intertwined fingers do not seem to slow her down, though she can be awkward at times. I’m not sure if it’s her paws or just her personality. ”
