Тo Кeep Нer Fat Сat From Stеaling Gоod, А Wоman Lоcks Тhe Fridge Аnd Сabinets

Sara Matthews knew Keith, her rescued cat, had several medical problems when she decided to adopt him as a birthday present for her daughter Charlie. Keith was very underweight and had gastrointestinal issues when he arrived at the animal rescue shelter, so he had to follow a particular diet.

However, the kitten started showing a strong need for food and even left the cage to steal food from other cats.

Her daughter Charlie met the lovely kitty when she needed a home since the mother volunteered at the animal shelter.

Sara told METRO :

“I adopted him as a surprise birthday present for Charlie since she fell in love with him immediately away.”

Keith would grow up to be a huge man because of his huge appetite for food, which they never expected after adopting him.

Sara had to place childproof locks on her refrigerator and several cabinets since the drive to locate food is so strong.

Keith has grown from 11 to 24 pounds despite efforts to keep him from finding food, numerous diets, and vet visits.

The kitten is roughly the size of a medium-sized dog, and it hasn’t stopped growing for the past seven years.

Sara made the following reflection:

“Ever since we had Keith, we’ve had kid locks on the fridge. When I initially opened it, it began to climb, and I was concerned that it might become trapped without our notice.

It’s that regardless of the style of handle on the food cabinets, whether round or pulley, it always finds a way in.

One of the last cabinets Keith checked, according to the woman, had a large waste bag in front of it. However, the clever cat moved the bag out of the way and made his way to the food bags, achieving his goal.

Sara said, ”

“I’ve got to put all of their meals in plastic containers with flip-open lids now,” says the presenter. To slow it down, we tried puzzle feeders, but it just flipped them over.

Keith loves eating and would eat anything. He particularly like green foods, so vegetables are not exempt from his strong appetite.

The veterinarians put Keith on a special food regimen and made other changes at home after learning about his eating problem.

Keith, on the other hand, continued to gain weight, and they eventually learned that he had been going through the trash cans of his neighbors in search of food. He liked to dig through the garbage since he felt he didn’t have enough food at home, so he could eat whatever he found.

Sara expressed herself as follows:

“We had to put labels on it asking people not to feed it,” says the narrator.

Sara decided that Keith would remain an inside cat when they moved in order to save him from getting poisoned by garbage. However, he would be less active as a result, despite the fact that he possessed numerous objects at home that might contribute to his workout entertainment.

The fact is that his family has spent a significant amount of money over the years in search of a solution.

A bag of specialist food costs around 70 pounds, and he was on this diet for three years.

Keith has undergone several tests to determine the cause of his eating problem, but none of them have been conclusive, and they still don’t know why. Even though the cute kitten is only allowed 50 grams of food each day, he displays his tenacity when it comes to supplementing his diet.

Keith enjoys his life and enjoys playing with Charlie, who has autism, despite being larger than a normal cat his age.

He has never considered his weight to be a problem, and he is much more active than the other cats in his family, as seen by his playful behavior. He enjoys running and playing to locate something, and he occasionally like a dog rather than a cat, despite being a master escape artist.

Keith has no health problems, but his family wants to avoid something from happening in the future, so they will try to impose their diets.
