We are proud to call dogs family members since they are among the most valued acquaintances we have in life. We all know that dogs deserve a decent life, yet we constantly hear tales about how many animals are not so lucky. This was the situation with this bulldog puppy, who was living by eating leaves. She was plagued with severe mange and had lost virtually all of her hair.
Slaughterhouse Survivors responded promptly when they learnt about the dog. They could see the puppy had given up hope and accepted the tragedy that lay ahead of her. She had been living on the street and would die there as well.
The dog was transferred to a medical center and given the name Pumpkin by the rescuers. She seemed melancholy, despite the fact that she was only a puppy, and she didn’t appear glad that she had been saved. She was definitely distressed, but would her new carers be able to look after her both inside and out?
Pumpkin was diagnosed with severe mange, which left her with seriously diseased skin after being assessed. Her body temperature was exceedingly low, to the point that it didn’t register on the thermometer. Pumpkin was on the edge of going away. She would not have lived another day on the streets, according to the veterinarian.
Pumpkin was given antibiotics, pain medication, and intravenous fluids. They also gave her warm saline through IV to assist her elevate her body temperature.
Pumpkin replied by boosting his temperature. The veterinarian diagnosed her with the flu and told her that she will recover.
They started peeling the scaly, dead skin off Pumpkin’s body when she recovered from the flu. She resembled a newborn hippo more than a puppy. She began to feel better at that point, and she began to consume more food. Pumpkin underwent eye surgery, which was successful.
The dog’s fur began to regenerate as a result of her frequent medicinal bathing, which was encouraging. In Los Angeles, a rescue organisation had also found her a permanent family.
Pumpkin is able to frequent the beach now that she lives with her family in California. They gave her a new name and a new start. Kennedy is her new name, and she is constantly at her mother’s ankles. She also appears to adore peanut butter.
Kennedy is happy to be back in her true home. She adores playing ball and even has a canine sister.
For this dog that had a terrible start in life, things are looking up. It’s all owing to the rescuers who refused to give up.
