This is the tale of a puppy rescued from a shelter in Central Valley, California. For two long years, this pup endured life in a kennel until the day arrived when they could finally experience the freedom and love they deserved.
Lisa, the puppy’s new owner, knew instantly that they were meant to be a part of her family. The moment she laid eyes on the photo shared by Fresno Bully Rescue, memories of her recently departed dog, Kitty, flooded her mind. Without hesitation, she made her way to the shelter and found Meaty, basking in the sun. It was as if fate had brought them together.
“From the moment I met Meaty until I brought him home, Fresno Bully Rescue did an incredible job,” Lisa remarked.
Bringing Meaty home meant introducing him to his five canine siblings, each rescued with their own unique personalities, quirks, and ways of seeking attention.
At home, Lisa discovered that Meaty possessed an infectious smile and a talent for posing in photographs. He captured everyone’s hearts with his charming grin, winning the adoration of thousands of internet users.
Lisa recalls Meaty’s mischievous early days, filled with shoe-chewing antics and vocal demands for food. However, those habits were left behind as he settled into his new life. Lisa fondly recalls those moments, saying, “I woke up to a sea of chewed-up shoes; he would bark at me if I didn’t feed him on time; he would chase our other pups and then casually walk away, refusing to move. Not to mention his snoring and excessive gas. He was a treasure!”
Fortunately, Meaty learned to coexist with his family and furry siblings, becoming a polite, affectionate, and expressive brother.
His favorite pastime is to act like a big baby, smiling throughout the day. Even when he’s fast asleep, his smile persists, a constant reminder of his happiness. Whether he’s sunbathing, sleeping, or nestled in his mother’s arms, Meaty is always sporting that infectious grin.
With over 150,000 followers on his Instagram account, Meaty has become quite the star. This lovable pup thoroughly enjoys his newfound fame, relishing in the joy of being cradled by his adoring mother.
“He’s a true mama’s boy; he just wants to be by my side all the time,” Lisa shared.
